"Foire de la St Grégoire" - 1st and 2nd September 2007

This is an annual fair which is organized the 1st weekend of September every year. The aim of the Saint Grégoire Committee is to join together the representatives of several associations. Various local businesses and craftspeople take the opportunity to advertise their products on the many different stalls throughout the town.  There are also exhibitions of the local hunts, classic and vintage cars and bikes and, of course, the cattle show.

21st and 22nd July 2007: French Motocross Crampionships

The most striking event is no doubt the staging of the world championship of motocross which, every year, draws more than 20000 spectators. In 2005 Ernée hosted the biggest event of world motocross, the 58th running of the "Motocross of Nations", which ended the 2005 season. More than 60000 spectators arrived for this festival of motor sports. The best riders in the world came to Ernée to compete for the world title which was eventually won by Ricky Carmicheal of the USA. Events are held throughout the year, the biggest usually being in September. In 2006 this was on 16th/17th September and drew a crowd of up to 20000 spectators. This was the final event before the 2006 team world championships the following weekend, which took place in England.
Results for both events together with details of the 2007 French Championships can be found on the bikers page together with pictures from the final world championship event of 2006 held in Ernée.
